Banana Cake

Banana cake with cream cheese frosting.  The recipe called for a method I never used to keep the cake moist - take cake out of the oven and place directly into freezer for 45 minutes before taking it out of the pan - and it was moist!

Pistachio Cake

OK, this cake isn't made from scratch and it is kind of junky, but it is soooooo gooooood!

Ingredients

1 package yellow cake mix

1 package instant pistachio pudding mix

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups water

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

7 drops green food coloring

1st Snow Storm of 2013

In total we had around 2 feet of snow.  What was nice was that it happened on a Friday night into Saturday.  I didn't have to go anywhere.  Even if I did, I wouldn't have been able to get there!

I took the time to work on my son's quilt.  I wasn't really in the mood, but I forced myself and am happy that I did.  Hopefully by next weekend it will be done.

Oreo Cake

My daughter wanted a chocolate cake for her 22nd birthday.  I got this recipe off of Pinterest.  It was a huge hit!

My daughter baked Batman cupcakes for her boyfriend for his birthday.  She cut each bat out of fondant icing.

 

Thanksgiving 2012

After enjoying an abundant Thanksgiving dinner, it is time to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

I made a pumpkin roll with a cream cheese filling.  Delicious!
