Great Expectations

I sewed these gingerbread people a few years ago from scraps of material I had at home.  I have a whole week off from work and plan on doing some reading.  I went to the library and came home with four books.  Let's see how much reading I actually do get done!

Trees

Yesterday was my last class and now I have a month off from school.  A much needed break.  Also had the day off from work.  Did some shopping, baking and crafting.  My kind of day!

A few years ago I came across this pattern on the internet.  I printed it and knew that one day I would put it to good use.  I used felt (the one that you buy in precut squares) and used the blanket stitch around the perimeter.  The gold DMC metallic thread was a pain to work with because it keep splitting and got tangled.

It is the holiday season and it seems like everyone is in a giving mood!

Lincoln Center

Went to see Don Carlo on Saturday.  Had to leave early to catch an earlier train to be able to attend a Christmas Party.

Christmas is Coming

The weekend started out with a light dusting of snow.

My front door.  Usually I hang the ubiquitous green wreath with a red bow.  This year it is something different.
