G & G (gnocchi & Gus)

One of my son's favorite meals is homemade gnocchi with meatballs.  For his last dinner before heading back to college I made it for him.
Ready for the boiling water.
Finished product.  I serve them with turkey meatballs that were simmering in tomato sauce in a crock pot.
About 15 years ago when my kids were young I sewed myself a witch costume for Halloween.  I used to wear it handing out candy.  I haven't used it in years.  This year one of my classmates asked me if I had some sort of costume that she could borrow.  Was I ever surprised when I brought it down from my attic.  It had been hanging in a plastic bag, well preserved, so I thought.  Apparently, after years of extreme temperatures (hot in the summer and freezing in the winter) the fabric became brittle and just basically fell apart.  I couldn't just throw it our before having someone special model the hat and cape for me one last time!

Saturday After Thanksgiving

Today is a day for relaxing.
Wood is stacked and ready for burning.
Waiting for someone to come and visit?
Time for a cup of tea and some crocheting.

After Thanksgiving

After eating so much turkey, it was time to relax.  Too bad the glass is empty!
Homework needs to be done.  That can wait until tomorrow or maybe even the day after.
Pomergranate
I came across this in a magazine and thought what a neat idea for a wreath.
