Quebec City

We drove through Vermont to get to Quebec City.  Our first stop was for breakfast at a local diner.
Along the way I was able to take lots of photos of great houses.
So much charm and character!

Now I know why Quebec City is considered to be the most "european" city in North America.

The world famous Chateau Frontenac hotel.
A local boulangerie (bakery) is the best place to start your day.

Boston & Chihuly

Today Tim & I took the train to Boston and went the the Boston Museum of Fine Arts to see the Chihuly exhibit.  Although it was very crowded, it was definitely worth seeing.  His glass work is truly spectacular.

This lime green tree is 40 feet tall and it took a week for the crew to put it together for the exhibit.

Entering the exhibit.
This exhibit was about 40 feet long and 15 feet wide.

The next 4 exhibits were suspended from the ceiling.
Reeds in the Birches
After we left the museum we walked around Boston some more and stopped and had lunch at the Pour House.  I have eaten there once before and wanted to go back again.  I was not disappointed.  We opted for a delicious and nutritious lunch!

Red and White

I started a new quilt for my family room.  Simple.  I've had the fabric for some time now.
My husband and son participated in a doubles tennis tournament at Yale University in New Haven today.  They didn't win, but they did have fun.

This Says It All!

It's Way Too Hot

Just wearing a light blouse is still too much.
Yesterday at work a vendor of ours treated us to a refreshing drink - I'm sure loaded with lots of sugar!
We also had another four legged visitor in the office.  Her name is Poco and she is such a sweet girl.
Even in this heat I managed to fry up eggplant for eggplant parmigiana.  I didn't want to see them go to waste.
I also baked some cream puffs and am done in the kitchen for today!

Dinner Out

Today I met a classmate of mine for dinner.  We had a great fish and chips.
The restaurant is right on the water.
