Went to NYC to see the opera Boris Gudonov.  Afterwards we took the train to 14th Street and walked up to Penn Station.

Chelsea Market is in the meatpacking district of NYC,  The market is not big and houses eclectic shops and eateries.  We went into one of the several bakeries and were quite astonished.  You see the 12pack of Halloween cupcakes?  Well the price is $48.00!  The prices were outrageous and yet the place was doing business.  We ate at Don Giovanni Ristorante on 9th Avenue (between 22 & 23rd Street).  The food and the prices were fabulous.

A few years ago I went to the MOMA in NY and saw an Edvard Munch exhibit.  This may be his most famous painting - The Scream.

It is so hard to choose which of my photos are my favorite.  After all, I do have more than 2,500 to choose from!

This is the town hall in Munich.  Everyday at noon and 5:00pm the Glockenspiel can be seen. 

The dome of the Frauenkirche in  Munich.  The church was started in 1468 and completed in 1494 and the towers added in 1525.

The Pestsaule in Vienna to remember the 75,000 people who died in 1679 from the bubonic plague.

The Golden Roof in Innsbruck, Austria - so royalty could observe the goings on in the city.

Downtown Innsbruck.  This was my daughter's favorite city.  A beautiful city at the base of the mountains.

Blackberry Slump

I made this delicious blackberry slump with locally grown blackberries.  It was a bit tart, but with whipped cream it was fabulous!

Berlin

I have always wanted to visit Berlin.  It is such a historic and vibrant city.

This is the Kaiser Wilhelm church.  It was bombed in 1943 and is now a memorial and Berlin's famous landmark.
