My daughter wanted a chocolate cake for her 22nd birthday.  I got this recipe off of Pinterest.  It was a huge hit!

My daughter baked Batman cupcakes for her boyfriend for his birthday.  She cut each bat out of fondant icing.

 

Thanksgiving 2012

After enjoying an abundant Thanksgiving dinner, it is time to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

I made a pumpkin roll with a cream cheese filling.  Delicious!

I spent last week cruising around Texas just exploring.

Dubrovnik Sunset

In September I had the great fortune of spending 2 weeks in Croatia.  I took these one evening from a boat as the sun was setting in Dubrovnik.

New Master Bedroom Quilt

Storm Sandy brought many power outages to our area.  We were left unscathed but, the town where I work lost power, and as a result, I had a whole week off!  I used the time to finish my latest quilt and make matching pillows.  It took longer than I anticipated but, I am truly happy with the result.

Of course my boy had to be in one of the pictures!

The Brooklyn Bridge

I always wanted to walk over the Brooklyn bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

We went out for a Greek dinner and dessert.
