Still Life in Primary Colors
I painted these sometime ago. I need to find more time to get back into painting. Mixing paints and creating different colors is so rewarding. These are hanging on a narrow wall in my kitchen.

Current Crocheting Project
I am currently working on a hexagon afghan.
They are now ready to be assembled. The pattern size is for a throw. I think I might add a few rows because I want to make sure that it will be big enough. The worst thing is having your feet exposed or not having enough blanket to cover your whole body.

From Tarnished to Polished
Last night I came home from work and had it in my mind to do a little polishing. It makes all the difference.
This is a sterling silver sugar spoon with amber. My mother bought it for me when she was in Poland a few years ago. I will always treasure it!

Framed Piece # 2
When I saw this pattern I just knew I had to make it. The vivid colors against a navy blue backdrop was eye catching.
The matting and framing make all the difference. It really showcases the article being framed.

There is just something about lighthouses that attracts me.

N.Y.C.
Took the train to NYC today to see La Traviata at Lincoln Center.
The performance was spectacular. A truly great opera by Verdi. After that we walked back down thru Hell's Kitchen to 34th street and passed a great store that sells anything from lots of varieties of coffee to spices to baked specialties. If you like spinach pie, this is the place to go.We ate at Lugo located across the street from Penn Station. Great calamari.
It was a great day. Tomorrow I have to catch up on all the household chores I didn't do today!

Happy Friday
One more day at work and then it is off to NYC to see La Traviata. Hopefully the rain will hold off. It not, it's time to wear my wellies.

Soon to be Full
I work close to the Connecticut shoreline. Yesterday at lunch I walked to the marina ( I usually go the other way and head into town). At this time of year there is not much going on. In a few weeks all the boat slips will be occupied and the marina will be bustling with activity.
